I haven’t posted in a while, and I wanted to bring you all up to date.

One of our newer customers has 60 servers all over the world, and scanning all those servers sequentially just wasn’t working.    (Some servers took several minutes to respond.)   So we  tweaked and tested our algorithms and now VS will scan up to 10 Domino servers at once in separate threads.    What took 45 minutes to complete in earlier versions is now taking under 10 minutes.  Quite an improvement.

The Database Health process is changed slightly, based on customer feedback we no longer refresh all the views in a database but instead only the default view.  Customers were reporting increased disk usage as views with discarded indexes were being brought back just to see if they were healthy.

We are doing more with CPU and memory, and of course, with Traveler.   A new tab called Traveler Health will appear if you have a Traveler server, and the Traveler Health tab in both VS and VitalStatus show pie charts showing the various OSs and traveler devices in use at your organization.   You might be surprised at how many Traveler users your company has.
